We are travel consultants who will sit down and plan a trip, a vacation or even just a getaway for you.  It is “travel designed for you.” 

Why travel?

yourTravelConcierge was conceived early on – when I first touched ground (literally) in the United States via the Los Angeles International Airport, or ,as it was commonly referred to, the Bradley International.

Having experienced my first 15-hour flight on the flagship Philippine Airlines (PAL), I was not at all tired nor jet-lagged as one would surmise.  No, in fact, the trip felt like a by-way to the next stage of my life.  It was the ‘bridge’ that brought me from my quiet, sheltered life to this whole new world that yells ‘adventure’! 

The journey from Asia to North America spoke volumes to me.  All these 200+ passengers who are involuntarily thrown together, forced to spend the next 15 hours within a confined space and with a stranger seated beside and/or within a hand-span away from your seat!  Remember that this was in the 1980’s when there were no laptops and no electronics to use as one’s “security blanket” for the trip. 

There were only a limited number of things one can do at that time – read the book you brought with you, or the day-old newspaper and even older magazines;  listen to the “piped-in” music in the plane;  play with whatever game you may have brought with you;  or, chat with strangers!  I opted for the latter and befriended those around me, swapped stories with them – and basically made the time fly by. 

This is when the love of travel was first instilled in me.  I wanted to share that feeling of excitement for the journey, the sense of adventure at the thought of one’s destination, and the ultimate anticipation of what lies ahead at the end of a trip.
